About Stephen L.W. Greene

Stephen L. W. Greene is an American professor of journalism with a BA from Cornell, an MA for Berkeley and a PhD from the University of London, England. He taught for many years at San Jose State University. He started out writing for Irving Wallace in the 1970s (“The People's Almanac”), worked for nearly a decade as a newspaper reporter in Northern California and since has completed many articles and books, including his most recent ones on Southeast Asian history (“Absolute Dreams”) and the Czech Republic ("Emerging From Behind the Irony Curtain").
He currently lives on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY and does own a boathouse.
