About Eva Gale

Eva Gale loves white cupcakes with bitter chocolate frosting, lots of dark roast coffee and six-foot piles of books. She would prefer them all at once, but she takes what she can get. She lives in the farmlands of NJ, with her husband and seven children whom they homeschool. They have one doofus Doberman, a Yellow Naped Amazon named Gizmo, two cats and two Blackberry Hamsters named Mac and PC but are looking to add chickens, guinea hens, bees and Lancashire Heelers to their collection. When she’s not guiding school, she’s writing, weeding the garden or doing endless loads of dishes and laundry.

I liked the way the story evolved, making you reinterpret what you'd already read.

Well done, a nice plot, and a good sense of the characters feeling their way through the sex. Not just a lot of hydraulics.

I liked the premise of this book. Enjoyed reading it but felt that the back story is a drag and unnecessary.

A hot story, and not just because of the temperature! The mentions of the deeper story gave the book more depth than two characters meeting in a single scene and just get it on. Having some back story to Kathy and Dean offer more substance, and I enjoyed that. Hell, there could've been more back story, and I wouldn't have complained.

Good work on integrating the back story and the main story.
I admit I read this one because it sounded like a similar premise to one of the shorts in my new collection, and I wanted to see how other people handled that situation...but my goodness, you took it very differently! That second-chapter twist (no spoilers!) really turns it on its head and piqued my interest.
There's quite a darkness here as well, isn't there - I mean, sure it starts a bit rape-y, until the twist undermines all that...but the relationship has still got an interesting, dark undercurrent going. So much so that I wanted to uncover a bit more about their history.

An easy story to get into and be carried along by as it is deeper and more well written than the average tale in this genre.

I thought the premise of the story was beautiful, and the author did a great job of easing us into the back story giving the characters depth and not just having them be all about sex. Decent story. There was only one typo and a few other choice words that kind of threw me. Overall, a good short story.
