About Lea Tassie

Lea Tassie grew up in the Peace River district of northern BC. Due to six months of winter and two months poor sledding, she started reading books as soon as she could hang on to one. She has traveled and worked in many places, which may explain why she can’t stick to one genre as an author. Her books include humor (about cats), romantic suspense, mainstream and lately, speculative fiction. When she discovered the temperate rainforest stretching along 1200 miles of the Pacific Coast, from Oregon to Alaska, she quit traveling and settled in for good.

Review by: Marilyn Clay on Oct. 25, 2017 :
An entertaining tale told from the perspectives of two friends: Brenda, a realtor in Deception Bay whose ex-husband is still in love with her and Larry, the bartender, who by the very nature of his job is privy to everyone’s secrets. Yet when Brenda begins to tell Larry about something awful that happened to a mutual friend of theirs and when strange and mysterious occurrences begin to happen, they, as well as others in town, can’t help but speculate about who is behind the not-so-innocent pranks and what it could mean to folks in a village where beneath everyone’s façade, deception appears to be the norm. This book, with its cast of likeable characters and well-written prose, held my interest throughout. Very well done.
