About Cappy and Pegody

We are two chubby country folk who live in South Louisiana, where we live, love and play in Cajun country. Having written our blog, "Cappy and Pegody's World" for more than ten years now, with our readers constantly encouraging us to "go on and write a book", we finally decided now was the time. Truth be told, it's something we've both wanted to do since we were kids. I, Cappy have worked on the boats, since I was a teenager. On clear nights out on the water, staring out at the vast darkness, with the stars staring back at me, has always fed my imagination and fueled my dreams. Actually, I started writing this book when I was sixteen years old, but, as far as taking the time to finish it, the timing was never just right.
Pegody has always enjoyed writing since she was a child, amusing her family and teachers, then in art college, although her grades were great, her professors kept asking why she wasn't writing professionally. Again, for her, the timing was never just right.
About a year and a half ago, there was a shakeup at work, where about twenty boat captains got 'let go'. Although I've since been called back to work several times, I decided that, by golly, I wasn't going back until I was ready. Until then, I was gonna just write.
If you decide to read our adventure, please remember to leave a review at your favorite online retailer. Your purchase just might pay for this crusty ol' boat captain to be able to stay 'off the boat' a little longer, and write a sequel. We'll let ya know.
May God Bless you and yours, Cappy and Pegody
