Evangeline Anderson is the USA Today Best Selling Author of the Brides of the Kindred and Born to Darkness series. She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. This second book is arguably where this series starts picking up. The whole thing becomes less about how Kindreds claim their brides and more about adventure. I appreciate that Sophia has a past that affects her behavior - and that the past actually makes sense to explain her behavior.

I would argue that this particular book doesn't actually require you to read Claimed, but having marathoned the entire series, I would recommend reading them one by one and in order. Especially in later books the villain may span for a few books or someone you forgot about pops up again and you're like "OH YEAH!!! THAT PERSON!!!"

Another great book in the series... I loved Sylvan! Though, sometimes I wanted to strangle Sophia for being so damn whiny! LOL. I loved Kat's parts in this book; they cracked me up and really set me up for book 3.

I found the storyline in this novel to be quite compelling. I'm a fan of the entire series, but was especially surprised by this book. From the beginning of the series, Sophia was my least favorite character. Her mousy demeanor and reserved nature were not what I expected in a protagonist. But the author turned my perception of this character completely around by the middle of this book. That's not an easy task, but I'm glad for it.

Every time I read a book by Evangeline I realize her ability to use words to engage her readers into the plots of her stories. I have all three books I have read them all twice and every time I find a different detail I missed the first time. I love this series, I can't wait for the next book, sometimes the waiting is the hardest. Thank you Evangeline for giving me as a reader such a memorable experience. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves to be engaged with the world and word they read. Hugs Wanda

This is a great book and a great value.

This is the second book in the series, Claimed should be read first to get the full impact of the story.

I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

Evangeline did it again! Another great book in this series (you definitely want to read Claimed first if you haven't already before tackling this book). I literally stayed up all night to finish the book, it was that good.

Loved Sophia and Sylvan. Though I must say my new favorite is definitely Xairn. SLIGHT
SPOILER ........................................I bawled like a baby during his last scene with Sinja. END SPOILER I can't wait for Xairn's HEA in book 4, maybe with the girl in the prophecy? I'll keep my fingers crossed. It's going to be a long wait until August when Kat's book comes out.

Great job Evangeline!

This was an AMAZING story! This is HOT, HOT, HOT but not outside of the context of the story. I really liked how I could follow each character and story line without feeling confused. I haven't read the 1st one, but have just downloaded it and can't wait to dive in! This book can stand alone, but you just want more! She is a great author and I hope she continues with this series!

If you're like me, you have been eagerly anticipating the release of "Hunted" since the release of "Claimed". Evangeline Anderson established the story of Sylvan and Sophia in Book 1 and did not disappoint with Book 2. I purchased the PDF and it was 490 pages long (jammed packed with sizzling hot alpha-male aliens who can invade my planet any day), and if you're a fan of Ms. Anderson - I would recommend purchasing TWO copies ($5.98) - you know you would be paying at LEAST $15 for this length in a trade paperback. Also, if you are enjoying the Kindred Brides, I would recommend "PLANET X" - also written by Ms. Anderson.
