About Tricia McGill

Award winning author Tricia McGill was born in London, England, and moved to Australia many years ago, settling near Melbourne. The youngest in a large, loving family she was never lonely or alone. Surrounded by avid readers, who encouraged her to read from an early age, is it any wonder she became a writer? The local library was a treasure trove and magical world of discovery through her childhood and growing years. Tricia is a dreamer who still dreams every night; snippets from those dreams have translated into ideas for her books.
Although her published works cross sub-genres, romance is always at their heart. Tricia loves reading and writing historicals and her other great passion, time-travels.

About the Series: Wild Heather
Andrew, a wealthy Australian architect, takes life too seriously, whereas his PA Elizabeth is outgoing and fun-loving; a perfect foil for her somber boss. She is passionate about Celtic lore and language. With great reluctance Andrew answers a plea from his two elderly aunts to travel to Scotland before his uncle dies. He has no desire to visit the land his father left under a cloud many years ago, but Liz persuades him to take her along.

In the draughty and dilapidated castle, while exploring a disused attic, the pair set off a course of events that propel them back in time to 1050 where they meet Travis, coincidentally Andrew's double.

“Another great Time-travel by one of my favourite authors. Tricia McGill takes you back convincingly to a past age where times were hard and there were no amenities to make life easier. The handsome Laird Travis made me wish I was back there with Beth.”

There is an instant attraction between Beth and Travis, but can Beth accept a man who lives by his sword, one who will kill to protect his clan if necessary? And can Travis choose a woman from the future to be his bride? This is a wonderful book. Tricia McGill is a wonderful writer. The heroine, Beth, is such a sweet character who is fully embraceable and the hero, also wonderfully written, is a man of honor all the way. If you enjoy suspense, action and a great romance this is a must read.

“Multi-published author Tricia McGill does it again! You can’t help but fall in love with her Highlander chief, Travis, the masterful clan leader in 1051 Scotland from her previous book.
Even without running water and central heating this time-travel novel will make you wish you could be transported back into Travis’ castle… for a good, old fashioned candle lit romance. If you’ve ever fallen in love with a man in a portrait painting, that’s what happened to Beth.
What she hadn’t expected was the intense feuding and fighting between the clans, and the harsh conditions found in 1051 Scotland. Still, Beth must make up her mind whether or not to return to the present... or brave it out and stay in the past with her Highland lover...
This is a fast paced action tale of the rough conditions of bygone days, and the man Beth couldn’t leave behind.”

Beth Anderson has traveled to Scotland to help her friend Liz and her husband remodel their castle. She can hardly believe Liz’s story of how she and Andrew traveled back in time to the 11th century. Beth is especially intrigued by Travis, Andrew’s ancestor…
Travis is not all that surprised to find yet another woman from the future lying at his feet. There is something about Beth that compels Travis to get to know her better. However, a lot has changed since Liz and Andrew left. Travis is no longer the mischievous smiling man that Liz described. Travis’s life is consumed by the need to avenge the loss his people have suffered, and to protect them as best he can.
This book is an appealing and sensual time travel romance. I really enjoyed the way the author described living in Scotland during the 11th century. Her depiction of the harshness of life in medieval Scotland was very affecting
