Terrific slice of dark humor. Loved the part about the batteries.

Really entertaining! I was afraid I had guessed the ending very early in the story, but I did not expect the surprise at the end. A very humorous perspective on a dark topic.

Great short story that should be read by every religious nut on the planet, be they Christian, Muslim, or any of the other thousand of man-made beliefs forced upon the worlds cultures. Pulls no punches and is all the better for it.

P.S_My favourite line here has to be "Farouk was conclusive proof that when you build something idiot-proof, nature just builds a bigger idiot."

Bloody hilarious!!!
Haven't laughed so much in a long time. I think Nathan Allen has hit the nail on the head with this one.
Thanks for the free laugh.

Nice! Smooth style, nice setup, and great punchline.

Reminds me of ancient Greek stories about oracles that were completely true but were interpreted too optimistically by their hearers.

And damn, points just for being daring on choice of topic.
