About William Devine

William Devine leads the Corporation in Society practice at William Devine Esquire in Mountain View, California.

His writing on governance and regulatory issues is published in Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation, Columbia Law School Blue Sky Blog on Corporations & Capital Markets, University of Houston Law Center Institute for Higher Ed Law & Governance Monograph Series, and Loyola University Chicago Law School Inside Compliance forum.

He has contributed to the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, FinTech Weekly, California Lawyer, Inside HigherEd and Center for Higher Education Leadership.

Random House (hard cover and paperback) published his first book, Women, Men & Money (1998).

He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College, where he studied Shakespeare, Marlowe and economics, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.

Since 2014 he's been Adjunct Professor of Law at Menlo College. His writing seminar explores the interplay between legal, economic and societal issues in management.

He is admitted to the bar in California, and once coached a season of college basketball.
