2084 (A Short Story)

Rated 3.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Our changing world is on course to become very warped and contradictory when it comes to issues like the sanctity of life and the influence of Biblical morality. Written by a Christian fundamentalist, this half satirical/half speculative fiction story is intended to make people think about the issues currently facing Western Culture, especially the subtle genocide against minorities.

This story was quite difficult to follow initially and perhaps it would benefit from a little more explanation at the beginning; a flashback perhaps?

However, I found it intriguing enough to continue and was glad I did. The main protagonist is struggling to bring together her sense of how things should be with that of the culture she is living in. She has raised her daughter to share her belief system and is concerned that this may lead to punishment for her child ... where will her daughter's sense of right and wrong lead them both?

Well constructed and a bit of a surprise at the end too.
