During a cold winter night Violet has to leave her warm bed to tell her neighbor to turn the music down. And that’s when she meets sinister, scarred, scarily attractive, Joe Callahan. About Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

I haven't read a KA book I haven't liked, and this is a good one! I'm always captured from page one by her books, I have to say the worst thing about this author is that she causes me to miss a lot of sleep! Once I start I can't stop.
Joe is everything every woman secretly wants in a man and I adored his relationship with Vi's girls.
Keep em coming KA

LOVED Joe & Violet's story. Kristen Ashley writes great alpha-holes (as I've heard other reviewers dub them).

Another favorite of mine! Love the alpha male characters that Kristen writes. She knows exactly how to make them loveable despite their possessive ways.

After reading about this book and then purchasing it, I have now added Kristen Ashley to my favourite author list. At Peace is a fantastic story that I could not put down. It has everything I want to read in a book; love, betrayal, alpha males, hot sex, humour, tear jerking moments, etc. At times I did want Violet to stand up to Joe more, since he was a total jerk at times but then again, I loved his total alpha male persona he had going on. I really loved this book and recommend it.
