About Ron Thompson

Ron Thompson was born and raised on Canada’s prairies. After training as a naval officer and backpacking across Europe, he spent two years working on the margins of the Kalahari Desert. He subsequently pursued a career in Canada and internationally as an economist, investment banker and consultant.

Ron is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, the University of Toronto, the London School of Economics, and the Humber School for Writers. A Person of Letters is his first novel. His second novel, Poplar Lake, will be published in the fall of 2018.
