Summer St. Croix hates meets Luke Vanetti at a wedding. And he's the only thing that can make her forget how much she HATES weddings especially since she was left standing at the altar while her husband to be got busy in the closet with a bridesmaid. So after a weekend of good memories and the possibility of someone new she returns home to find that Luke is her new boss. How can she date her boss now? So he makes it clear that things can't go any further. But Luke is having none of that. He wants Summer in his life. Besides, the first assignment they have to investigate forces them to pretend to be engaged. A real relationship will make their pretense more believable. Resistance is Summer's MO for most of the time but when a dangerous situation arises, Summer is forced to acknowledge her real feelings for Luke.
