The greatest of all journeys begin in the smallest of things. More
The greatest of voyages begin in the smallest of beings.
What starts as a single wingbeat culminates in what is arguably nature's greatest migration: that of the humble swallow.
On her first 6,000 mile voyage from her wintering grounds in South Africa to her breeding grounds in England, a young swallow named Belle finds herself in all kinds of bother. If she is to make it back over the wilds of Africa and Europe, she'll have to cure her inquisitive ways to avoid going down as the one who flew too far from the nest.
Relearning instinct is hard for a wide-eyed swallow when the journey begins to take her on a course of its choosing. For every encounter that awakens her fledgling senses, Belle’s chances of making it to the far north to complete nature's work recede fast.
In the end even the unlikeliest of creatures return to the place they were born. But when the skighway home is deep with distractions and fraught with danger, that homecoming has to be put on hold.
