About Adelise M Cullens

On my Twitter mini bio it says "I'm a hugger. Oh ... and I write things." This basically sums me up pretty nicely. I love to write, so I do. Writing, to me, is about sharing and connecting with people. I like to metaphorically reach out and hug people with my words! And as long as I am doing that, I am a happy clam.
I hail from Australia, the land down under. (Where women glow and men plunder) More specifically, I am from the western burbs of Sydney. It is a truly magical place, where you can hear the call of sirens through the night and the sunsets are a bright watermelon from all the toxic pollution ... but nah, seriously, I love it here.
But, about my writing, I don't tend towards any particular genre. So, if you stick with me, hopefully you will be in for some surprises along the way. to quote the great Sylvia Plath - "And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it and the imagination to improvise."

I am interested in continuing to read the stories in this series. The author does a good job moving the action along by putting the characters in some fantastic situations. I was impressed with how the author describes the scenery, very vivid.

I'm always excited to find a new story that is set on the ocean with some good fantasy or paranormal elements. This story had some wonderful big scenes that were full of fantastic effects, really showed off the author's powerful creative imagination. Fresh and new plot that kept going and going . . . I'm expecting another installment.

I love sea stories and fantasy so this book really hit the right nerve for me. Without giving away any spoilers, I'll tell you it is the first episode in a continuing adventure-quest. The main character is a woman who captains a ship and uses her mystical powers in one high-pitched battle after another. Of course she has a goal but shes drawn off course in fantastic subplots. What really hooked me and kept me going is the author vivid writing style and the tension she creates in every scene. There are battles, transformations, romance, and all are told with details I could feel and smell and see. Looking forward to the next installment of this great new series.

I can see how some people would really like this type of story because it's very well told and full of vivid scenes. It's very fantastic with people changing into animal-spirits, flying meeting with magical being on tropical islands and deep in the ocean. It kept me interested and entertained. This author could easily spin this up into a full novel. Nice work.

This book is full of magic and mystery. I like the author's main character, a strong ship's captain who has witchy and fairy powers and she's on a quest across the ocean and the land. Along the way she and her lover Raven encounter many mysterious creatures. This is not for those who want a prim and proper tale. I'm a huge fan of fantasy books and sea stories especially, so I really enjoyed this one.

Adelise Cullens' descriptions of the land that she has created are vivid and tantalizing. They will remain in your mind long after you have finished enjoying the second Book in the Silent Lady series - Searching for the Tree of Life.
Back are Captain Ellie and her first mate and lover, Raven. Once gain they are pitted against a formidable and evil antagonist, who threatens to destroy all they love. Things get really complicated when the Kraken 'wakes' and you are in for a fast paced struggle between good and evil, between light and darkness.
The book is well written with very good character development. Cullens' skill in depicting each detail of the story is remarkable.
I recommend "Searching for the Tree of Life" for especially those readers who are not faint of heart.
