About Charlene Jones

Charlene Jones lives a modest life as a meditation teacher for Stouffville Yoga Life, leader of retreats for SYL, and teacher of the Yoga Teacher Trainees for SYL. She has a client base of those she guides through her five decades of meditation training (she was in a Tibetan Kagyu temple in the north of India when she was just 20 years old), her life long work with nightly dreams and her belief the healing powers of our bodies.
She wrote The Stain as a way to indicate how Karma is not a "tit for tat" back and forth through the centuries, but rather a building up of patterns that eventually may be reduced until the personal consciousness experiences release from the chains of that repetition.
She has published two books of poetry with her poetry partners, Linda Stitt and the late Cecilie Kwiat as well as a non fiction work Medicine Buddha/Medicine Mind. This last explores the seam between Neuroscience and Visualization Meditation.
She is currently excited to be returning to University to add a doctorate to her double Masters Degrees.
Her most rewarding time is spent with her son, daughter in law and two gorgeous granddaughters.
