Bruno Giacomelli

Bruno Giacomelli came along when Grand Prix race cars were developing turbo charged engines. Ligier, Renault, Brabham and Alfa Romeo all used them in their F1 cars. Giacomelli was an exceptionally fast racer who had excelled with March BMW in F2. Debuting with McLaren-Ford he drove the majority of his career with Alfa. Derek Daley's Tyrell ran flush into Giacomelli's rear at Monaco in May 1980. More
