I have always had a love of books. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t read. Stories take you away to places you might never go and help you meet people you would never meet. In my stories, I want to show my readers just that. A place where they can be themselves, where they can see that things happen—things that might happen to them—and how the character deals with it. Maybe through this, my readers will find courage to face uncertain situations and events. Sometimes the events are silly, sometimes they are serious, but always they are life. My goal is to share a love of reading with a new generation, to share a Christian view of living life, and to reach out through the words put down on the page.
I work with children in many different aspects of life--the school system, in my church, and in my community. The best source of inspiration is the source itself. Being able to watch their interactions and what is important to them makes writing so much easier.
I am married to a wonderful man (20+ years) and we have three grown children. We live in a small town in Arkansas and we are active in our church and community. Growing up in a small town probably sounds horrible to some. After all, the term “Nosey Neighbors” takes on a whole new meaning. But something else about a small town is this----we care for each other. We band together in times of need, we support each other. We are a community. That is what I love about where I live. My family enjoys outdoor activities, high school and college football (Go Hogs!) as well as movies, spending time with family and friends, and church activities.
