About Lois Lewandowski

Lois Lewandowski is a fiction writer and essayist. She has published two mystery novels, The Fatal Heir and The Burden of Truth. Both books won an honorable mention in the Eric Hoffer Award for Short Prose and Independent Books. The Burden of Truth was also a finalist in the 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Awards mystery category. Her short story, “The River Man,” was a finalist in the 2005 Pebble Lake Review competition for short stories. She has also been published in Plains Song Review.

Lois grew up on a farm in northeast Nebraska and studied Journalism and Psychology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The Midwest is the backdrop for her novels and short stories as she weaves contemporary issues into her work. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and the Nebraska Writers Guild. Lois resides in Lincoln, Nebraska.
