About Bruce Butler

Bruce Butler is an avid commuting and recreational cyclist who lives in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada (a place he claims is one of the most cycling-hostile cities on the planet). He rides year-round.

He is a vocal critic of bad driving behaviour and champions improvements, both in infrastructure and in law, which will make cycling safer and more enjoyable for people of all ages.

When he’s not cycling to/from his day job as a Professional Engineer, Bruce likes to trail run (the muddier, the better!) and take part in Ironman triathlons. Letters to a Cycling Nation is his first book.
