About H.M. Van Fleet

Raised on a farm, and later at the edges of the woods, H.M. Van Fleet spent much of her time reading. This fascination with stories and books ultimately led to her being forbidden from reading, for a time. Not letting this stop her, she read many books at local and school libraries.

When not reading – or writing – stories, she spends time with her husband, cross-stitching, and dreaming of the next time she’ll be able to ride horses.

This is a decent effort and easy reading, however - stuff seems to happen too quickly without enough build-up, tension and intrique, and the bad king in the story is like a bad cartoon character because he is children's cartoon type of weird, zany being evil just for evil's sake kind of evil. If this book is targeted at kids or you're just into that type of thing - then this may be a book for you.
