Armed Reconnaissance

Even in space there is a need for reconnaissance. A 'consultant' named Smith and Colonel Ann 'Screwball' McCluskey are going in harm's way. They have to see what's behind that nebulous cloud, especially after losing so many of their friends to an ambush. What they will find is anybody's guess but it can't be good. A short story of military science fiction.

Not sure what it is about these sci-fi / military stories that I like so much, but this one was ok. If you are into high tech gear, armed conflict and fiction that seems to be written by an engineer with an imagination you will probably like this also.

This was totally immersive and high tech crammed with futuristic aviation and light speed travel. Since I spent some time in the US Navy as a jet mechanic and love computers I got right into it. This could be filled out and expanded into a novel.
