Alan Stacey

Alan Stacey was among the talented drivers who drove for Lotus in the late 1950s and 1960s. The most famous of these was Jim Clark of Scotland. Stacey overcame a great handicap that left him without a lower right leg after a motorcycle accident at 17. His cars were equipped with a special throttle to compensate for this. Stacey's promising career was ended in a fatal wreck at Spa in June 1960. More
