About Jonathan Fore

Jonathan Fore was born in Marysville, Ohio in 1968, the third son of Dave and Judy Fore. After graduating Manalapan High School in 1987, Jon enlisted in the United States Navy, serving a combat role during Desert Storm.

Jonathan lives in Florida with his beautiful wife Lisa, and three wonderful children, two dogs (Katie aka. Nutter-Butter-Butt and Po-po), and a cat or two. The cats' names were withheld because cats don't really use them. I mean, why would they? They never come when you call them. I suppose if you could spell the sound of a cat food can being opened ...

Now Jonathan works as a full-time technologist, fails as an impromptu comedian, works with inspiring writers both young and old, and is a full time biker (almost always successful).

Jonathan is currently writing a young adult novel series called Lexicon Chase and the Kingdom of Everhope, the first title, 'Lexicon Chase and the Scrolls of the Harlequin' was released to critical acclaim on September 25th of 2015.

About the Series: Lexicon Chase and the Kingdom of Everhope
Lexicon Chase hated her life. Every moment outside of home was filled with bullies. Worse than that, there was nothing she could do about it. Her family was poor, if being the only child of a near destitute woman was a family. She had no phone, no fashion, no hope, no dreams, and no future.

What she did have was a heap of self-loathing and despair.

Then on September 25th, her grandmother gives Lexi the throne of a magic kingdom, a place called Everhope.

Immediately, Lexicon becomes immersed in an impossible dream world, a world filled with grandeur, hope, and wonder. It becomes her only escape from life, and the daily schoolyard bullies. But, there’s something very wrong with Everhope. Lexi can tell Everhope is slowly falling to ruin and she becomes desperate to save her new realm.

My family and I are reading this book for the third time in a row! Our children, 9, 8 and 4 are huge fans! Each night we read about the adventures of Lexicon Chase. Our first time through, the girls didn't want us to stop reading, they needed to know what was going to happen next. Now, as we finish a nightly read, our youngest talks about what is coming up. This is such a wonderful book, it captures you and simply brings you into its pages. We can not wait for the next book in the series to release. In the meantime, we purchased the audio book for car rides. Highly recommend this book!

I am so glad that I took a chance on this book. Having two daughters, it's really important to me to find reading that I can share with them containing characters that represent important values. In short, I like to find heroes for my girls and not just pretty ladies in dresses who just let things happen to them. Lexicon Chase is a welcome addition to my hero collection. She's smart, funny, humble, kind, and willing to get her hands dirty to make life better for those she meets. She makes friends easily and those friends are willing to put themselves to the hazard for her time and time again. That's the kind of hero I want for my kids and I'm so glad this book is here.

Lexicon Chase is a wonderful read from start to finish and is an excellent addition to any library, whether child or adult. It breathes new life into old cliches and makes for a wonderful wild ride through a magical world suffering under a terrible curse and lets you see the majesty and awe in it through the eyes of a very relatable young woman. I can't recommend it enough!
