About Anne Hendricks

A former librarian, I am now working on the art of short stories, in both satire and humor, as well as historical and creative. I look for things in history few know about, but allows room for my imagination to interpret the "what if" for a story.

I am currently finishing my debut novel, A WOMAN'S CHOICE, a Catholic contemporary romance that tackles the controversial subject of Post Abortion Stress Syndrome.

I shelved books as a librarian for sixteen years....Now it is my turn to write. Come dream with me. Thanks!

This book came down to me from a friend in New Zealand when it was still being developed and I followed this project on social media.

. I work in the prolife community as a volunteer. I have to tell you that this book has been needed for YEARS for the post abortive female. It is in personal narrative form, with a protagonist who awakes from her second trimester - and her life, her family's life, and the lives of her friends she makes in group support are the heart of the book. Honestly, I think God called Banner into the prolife community in A Woman's Choice from the moment her foot stepped into that church.

She's so real. She's so basically good. She doubts herself. She's fine until the ultimate betrayal and like God showed her grace and forgiveness, she has to do it - this time, not to herself, but to her ex husband and father of her aborted baby.

Only until then will she have the reward He has had planned for her - and her life's destiny.

What a great and fast read. I questioned why Hendricks did an Appendix, but it is appropriate. I can't think of one fictional character to help women with post abortion syndrome (and the many names it has: in this book, it is PASS) than A Woman's Choice.

Can we nominate Banner's Mom for an Academy Award? I meant to put that!!! Great job again!

Very strong characters. I really thought the mother made the book. Has some inside humor that takes a second reading, but I found it wonderful. I am NOT post abortive, but I am prolife. But i think this book is more than just a book about what happens after abortion.

It is a sweet love story. Clean. Toes the line in one part but in a natural way and not any way trashy. In all honesty, I want to re-read. This book should be in centers where girls are contemplating abortion or in groups were women are post abortion hurting and are wanting Christian help.

Great book.

I read this book when it was given to my group as a free read and I downloaded it again to read it. When it hits print, I want a few copies.

Banner Atwood is the voice we need for the post abortive who want to make right and do right. I can't believe someone finally did what nobody did: they got our voice.

Thank you, Anne Hendricks. Please do more on this subject. I will go read your other work, but they look like a range of subjects.

I know many say that this book is about post abortive stuff, but it is a love story. I like how God opened that window for Banner when she was READY in HIS time!

I had this book sent to me by a friend in my post abortion group and I will say that it is what we in our post abortive community needed. I got the code Anne Hendricks sent to our group to read it - and I am so glad she did.

I read the book pretty fast and I am reading it again. There are details I may have missed but I'm reviewing because I have to say

I felt like Banner. If you are suffering from post abortion and you are a Christian, please read this book. You can't afford to miss this book. Why hasn't this been done before? Thank you, Anne, for the loan of this book. Thank you for Banner Atwood. Thank you for being our voice.

I hope God blesses you with your intent. Your 2015 spoke truth and your stuff after the story was over will help women get to resources.

The romance was like a gift on top of the theme. Scott rocks - where can we get men like that?

Amazing! I never knew about what post abortive women went through and this story, which covers her ages of 18-early forties, is a mixed genre of romance, religion (Christian), and forgiveness (inspirational). I love the first person - I'm in her head. I also liked the characters. The mother cracked me up. I think she was my favorite character.

I think every teen should read this book to learn about what happens with an unplanned pregnancy and the consequences of choices. I love how the story started off the minute she woke up to end to the happy beginning.

Great book! That mother is a great character and Banner puts up with her - but it's so mother/daughter. I want to add this is a romance, with a strong theme, but there are many themes. Mother/daughter is one of them. Not only for Banner and her mom but Banner and her emotions with Lauren.

The ending and beginning are so well done with this story and I think any woman who likes a romance would like it. I think any post abortive woman needing healing would want it. I think anyone in the christian community should read it. I've never thought what this situation could be like. Banner is a real voice in my head for a long time.

Anne's debut was amazing. Imagine a young woman, really a college girl, l that you literally get to see grow into the woman God meant for her to be. The love story is a HUGE surprise and the ending made my mouth drop.

This debut by Anne Hendricks is FOUR STARS. This is a novel for everyone and anyone to learn about the subject matter through a personal narrative, a romance, and it really takes on a controversial subject that I knew NOTHING about - but it is controversial. I'm googling this subject.

I never knew.

This writer will go far. I already like her short stories. I hope she does more romance novels! I feel as if I walked away smarter - and I love Banner. She's amazing.
