Mystery surrounds the theft of the Athis Statue, an ancient and powerful artifact, and through lies, amnesia, monsters and magic the fate of all rests in the hands of a young mage and an elf who must stop fighting between themselves in order to see the forest for the trees. More
In the Kingdom of Sillium there is a powerful mage by the name of A’Zal. He is anchored to the world through the power of the Athis Statue (an ancient relic crafted by the gods). Now that statue has been discovered and stolen. For reasons known only to A’Zal, he tasks Tynnin, a brooding, self-important elf, with retrieving the Athis Statue. Along the way Tynnin meets up with Reichen, Kyli, Ferros, and Adkin. Through hardship, death, separation, and startling revelations, the party fights their way into the ruins of an ancient temple deep within the mountains of the Urdemare where they discover the true reasons for the theft of the Athis Statue. An ancient spirit named Gammalan has long been manipulating the surrounding kingdoms for his own ends and all of which has been leading to his ultimate plan - to use the Athis Statue in a ritual that will finalize his deification. In the final battle it is revealed that Reichen is actually a younger version of A’Zal pulled through time to make this journey, all in order to battle Gammalan and bring him, and his dark temple, to destruction. Before the final stroke, A’Zal transports Tynnin and Kyli back to Sillium where they are witness to the destruction of the statue based on A’Zal’s last instructions.
