About Dick Gillman

Dick Gillman is a Yorkshireman in his 60's. He retired from teaching Science in 2005 and moved to Brittany, France in 2008 with his wife Alex, Truffle, the Black Labrador and Poppy, the cat. He still has strong links with the UK where he visits his two grown up children and his grandchildren.

During his retirement he has written over twenty Sherlock Holmes short stories, the majority of which are published here. His latest short story, Sherlock Holmes and The |Devil's Claw was published at Smashwords June 2018. Successfully publishing both e-books and paperbacks, he has also been selected to contribute a story to the superb, World Record beating and ongoing Sherlock Holmes anthology. In Volume II, published by MX in October, 2015, his story, Sherlock Holmes and The Man on Westminster Bridge had the privilege of being chosen as the anchor story in this volume of the anthology. The recently published Volume X, contains his acclaimed story, Sherlock Holmes and A Brush With Death.
