About Erik Black

I live in Kansas City but have lived overseas, in Kenya and Morocco. These travels have influenced my writing (Hey I now have a book out on my time in Kenya called "The Trees Were Spinning").

P.S. I really am working on the next books! The Trees Were Spinning is out now, and DRWN Trilogy book 1 will be coming next year. Writing is real work!
Almost done with book 1, and then the editing begins...

Review by: GillianW on Feb. 16, 2016 :
This collection of poems caught my eye originally because of the jellyfish on the cover. I liked the thoughtful tone of the poems and I think the author speaks to some of the challenges we as humans face on a day to day basis. Two of my favorite poems were "Water" and "Outrunning the Seasons." A few were too short or structured in ways I didn't enjoy as much, but overall the themes were so well chosen that it really made this collection worthwhile.
