There is a major problem with this book - and it's not that the story and characters aren't any good. I would say that they're better than average. The problem is that it reads like this book was completely unedited and unproofread. The typos, mistakes, wrong words, wrong tenses and bad punctuation and such start early and usually rear their ugly head multiple times per page. The most egregious mistake of all is the word "defiantly" is ALWAYS used where the word "definitely" would actually be the correct word. REALLY!! How can anyone that fancies their self an author not know the difference between "defiantly" and "definitely"? If I hadn't paid 99 cents for this ebook - I may not have been able to finish reading it. Yet I valiantly fought through the pain and succeeded in my epic struggle to finish reading this story. In short, the utter lack of editing and proofcopying ruined what was actually a pretty good story. I hope the author sees this review and takes it to heart, because I think she is a lovely young author with some potential. My advice to her would be to hire a professional editor/proofreader, because you can't expect people to spend their money on your work more than once and continue reading your works when they are as rife with outright errors as this book is. You can't just run your story through a spellchecker program either. It won't catch wrong words, wrong tenses or when you use plural nouns where it should have been a singular noun and vice versa. It doesn't help with missing quotation marks and poorly placed commas and missing commas and such. You actually have to edit and proofread your work. And, if you are incapable of or unwilling to do so - then hiring a professional to do so for you is a MUST!
