About S. G. Norris

Steve grew up in North Manchester and Bury area. He drifted through the educational years without too much energy spent and found himself at college in Preston in the days of Polytechnics rather than city universities. Leaving Preston with a business degree in 1987 he made his way to Yorkshire to build a career in Human Resource Management in the NHS. Working in a number of hospitals and NHS offices over ten years in the Yorkshire area, he eventually found an affinity with the IT Consulting world and an opportunity to pursue a new broader consultancy career. This opportunity opened up a world of travel, meeting all kinds of people, working in global corporations and visiting places that a naïve boy from Bury would never have imagined. Fifteen years on, Steve still feels as if he has been getting away with it, and one day some will suss him out and send him back where he came from. Steve’s writing career was only a recent addition to his life, finding writing a more productive way to spend the lost hours of hotels, planes and trains. Until then the most Steve had written was IT technical documentation which was never going to be anything other than an insomnia cure.
Steve lives with his family in North Yorkshire. He enjoys cooking, reading and running to keep the weight down, skiing with family and friends each year in France, and of course his new found passion of writing stories.
