About Amanda Clark

I am a full time wife and homemaker. I have a passion for children, my husband, cooking, reading, writing, and most importantly, Jesus. I have been writing since I was a small child, everything from poetry to stories. I have always loved telling stories, true or imagined. I love that I can now share those stories with the world!

Writing is my therapy, and escaping into the fictional town of Hanesworth, Iowa for a few hours is one of my favorite things to do! I hope that you'll join me and grow to love the interesting group of characters that reside in Hanesworth as much as I do!

I really enjoyed Too Pretty For Jail - I received this ebook for free in exchange for my review, so I didn't have many expectations going into this book. It's nice and short- under 100 pages - so it's a quick and fun read. Since my kids went to bed sort of early last night, I had a chance to curl up with my ebook and a nice cup of tea.

I really loved the writing style by the author - the story takes place in the third person, but alternates between Heather & Jake's perspectives. I enjoyed the interactions between the two of them and you could really feel the excitement from each of their points of view when Jake would stop in to see Heather. It's definitely a sweet love story that leaves you feeling hopeful for the good of humanity. I loved that Jake constantly prayed for Heather since the night he arrested her and she told him she was 'too pretty for jail' - hence the title of the story & the start of their relationship. This is really well-written and I really appreciated that there wasn't a lot of unnecessary story telling going on. As a Christian woman, this was a breath of fresh air in the midst of raunchy stories everywhere. The story was easy to follow and fun to read. I can't wait to see more of what this author has to offer!

I actually thought this was a good book, and as I was reading the book I could just picture Heather and Jake, and all of the struggles, and moments in life. The story is set in a small town, and as I read it I wish that I did, and didn't live in a small town. Good because everybody knows you, and bad because everybody knows you.

Overall reading the story was a pleasant break, and it kept me entertained, which is hard to do, as I will put some books, and stories down if they bore me too fast.

I would say more, but I don't want to give the book away.

Disclaimer: I acquired this book at a discount, and this is my unbiased opinion.
