This was an awesome read. As an author Mr. Turner has the uncanny ability to create a body of work that can evoke the reader to feel like it's a personal letter to them, that appears to always be synonymous with empowerment, inspiration and the motivation to achieve their goals and to not be afraid to try. (Which seems to be the running theme in his series of content.) Almost as if he takes on the position of "personal life coach" but through a literary form. This allows readers to feel like the "sine qua non" rather than the "target" even though, application of wisdom through uncommon methods is the whole focal point of this piece. In Uncommon Wisdom he challenges the audience to break away from their current paradigm of wisdom and invites them to revisit the concept of wisdom in an unconventional execution. Mr. Turner does this, by defining what we already perceive as wisdom, breaks it down to its essence, and establishes a foundation in which he begins building his theory upon. What's appreciated about his method is, it's presented in a format that is easily digested and doesn't cause the reader to fill up on alot of, quote-unquote "fillers" that are nonessential to the subject matter. All in an effort for an author to showcase their intellect through meaningless diatribes and tangents, that could ultimately lose the readers interest by the time the material gets to the main course. Instead, D. Darrell Turner conveys the information almost as if he were speaking to a peer, or a colleague that he's known for years, and isn't afraid to give it to them cut and dry. This latest effort by D. Darrell Turner almost feels like a companion or a continuation if you will, to his last entry "Time To Grow Up And Be A Winner" Which comes highly recommended if you enjoyed this body of work from him. That too is just as enjoyable, insightful, intuitive and well presented. All said, I would consider this another home run for D. Darrell Turner in his growing collection of material, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he has in store for the market in the near future.
