With a great reach and solid punches Juste Fontain entered boxing in the 1940s. He won many of his early bouts and peaked around 1947 with a great fight against Ruby Kessler in Philadelphia. Soon after this Juste lost decisively to Ike Williams, the world lightweight champion. By 1950 a boxing official advised that Fontaine could no longer defend himself. Juste found a second career as a trainer. More
