The Stapler

Choosing a nursing home is difficult enough. Add in a pushy coordinator and a confused resident, and it becomes down right impossible.

About Janice M. Whiteaker

In my former life I worked as a hairstylist. Nowadays, you can still find me doing hair for the people closest to me, but most of my time is spent taking care of my three kids and writing.

As a stay-at-home mother and wife, most of my day is spent on everyone else's needs and desires, and while I wouldn't change it for the world, sometimes you have to do something for yourself.

Writing, is just for me... and maybe you.

I write the kind of books I like to read. My stories are filled with smart, funny women and the kind of men who are worthy of their love. I hope they leave you feeling happy, excited (roar) and a little in love with the characters.

Anyone who has had to deal with placing a loved one in the nursing home will love this! The guilt coming from both the mother and daughter is evident. The humor and caring expressed in this short story is wonderful. Can't wait to read more by this author.

The intro and title had me hopping for more here. Rather mundane.
