The Jo Modeen Box Set: Books 1 to 3

One tough lady, this action packed box-set follows the adventures of ex SAS soldier Jo Modeen. Mostly set in Australia this collection of the first three books is well worth the read. Recommended.

I found this trilogy by chance. I have read the three books and have just now ordered the next trilogy that contains books 4-6. The heroine is Josephine Modeen, an ex special forces soldier. She is recruited into NatSec in Australia, a national security agency with seemingly unlimited resources. What follows is a high octane chain of actions that involves Josephine as part of a small team of ex-special forces. They are sent, wherever someone needs to be rescued or disposed off. The author displays a good knowledge of weaponry and the machinations of secret services, politics, and combat. Their boss is also an ex-special forces man, a former Corporal who at 6'4" cuts an imposing figure.

I consider these books represent a good read and they give you a good insight of how certain secret service agencies may carry out their operations.

The Jo Modeen 1 - 3: Has a preview of the books, which I appreciate knowing what they're about before I read them. Well written, fast paced and action packed storylines with intelligent, realistic characters and events. I actually believe the author knew what he was writing about unlike some "writers" today who are clueless about weapons, training and combat fighting and action, but are liked by readers who know even less. It's easy to chain read the Modeen series without becoming bored or tired. Job well done, Jordan. I found this author through AXP and contacted him. 5*

The Modeen Factor #1 - Ends in a cliffhanger! My only complaint about this book is the cliffhanger ending. Well written, interesting, intriguing storyline with intelligent, realistic characters, along with realistic dialog. Vivid descriptions and realistic actions and events.The story is hard to put down and is fast paced. Enjoyed the Aussie dialect and colloquialisms. 5*

The Modeen Transformation #2 - Starts where the first book ended. Well written, interesting, intriguing storyline with intelligent, realistic characters, along with realistic dialog. Modeen Black Ops #3 - Picks up during the party from Ben's side of the involvement. Well written, interesting, intriguing storyline with intelligent, realistic characters, along with realistic dialog. Vivid descriptions and realistic actions and events.The story is hard to put down and is fast paced. Enjoyed the Aussie dialect and colloquialisms. 5*

Modeen Convergence #4 - Picks up where book #3 ended. Well written; fast paced; action packed with a well thought out plot that leaves the reader immersed in the pages until the end. The well developed characters and their dialog, and the vivid descriptions leave the reader with clear pictures. No graphic violence; no vulgar language, just a story that keeps the reader on edge. My fourth book in a row and I'm not bored or tired of reading the Modeen series. 5*

Modeen Rogue #5 - Picks up where book #4 ended. Well written, fastest paced of the books yet, while full of intrigue and action. The well thought out plot keeps the reader immersed without graphic violence or vulgar language. The vivid descriptions are easy to follow and Australia appears heavily as a character herself in the series. Interesting series. 5*

Modeen Redemption #6 - Picks up where book #5 ended. Just like the previous five books: it's well written, fast paced, action packed with a plot that takes the reader through a lot of happenings, good and bad. While full of action, the violence isn't graphic and there's no vulgar language. The books of this writer can sit on the same shelf as Ludlum, De Mille, Follett and the rest of the bunch. 5*
