About the Series: Tinker books
One hundred years after the generators stopped turning due to the exhaustion of fossil fuels and environmental degradation, a few small societies in southern Ontario cling to modern technology.

One of these is Novo Gaia, a sustainably-powered country centred around the old hydro-electric plants. To expand its influence and spread the light of civilization and technology outward, Novo Gaia found its tinker program, in which Doctors of General Applied Electronics journey into the Dark Lands to help bootstrap the populace back to energy abundance.

These are the tinkers' stories.

Interesting characters, good worldbuilding, and full of lots of little details to make everything plausible and real.
