About Karen C. Webb

Karen Webb lives in New Mexico and has traveled all over the country. She is an avid reader of fiction and enjoys writing it as well, setting her stories in locations she has visited. She writes as time allows, carrying a laptop with her and writing when she can. "I have more ideas for novels than I have time to write," says Karen. She also enjoys gardening, horseback riding and hiking through the mountains, searching for buried treasure with a metal detector.

I'm generally neither a poetry or a flash fiction fan but I enjoyed Karen C. Webb's writing. She has a very realistic viewpoint and clearly writes from experience and an interesting background. I enjoyed her commentaries on the stories also and I like being able to see behind the scenes in a writer's mind.

Review by: Colleen Ackerman on May 22, 2016 :
I like reading poetry. And I like reading flash fiction. Mayhem by Karen C. Webb has both, so I enjoyed both worlds of her book. Karen presents seven poems first, a mix of rhyme that begins light with the first poem and ends dark, which segues to eight flash fiction stories, most of them creepy, which I enjoyed most. This was a fast read that took less than an hour, and I savored every second, though I found myself pining for more stories.
