About Rosie Driffill

Rosie is a freelance journalist based in the north of England. She has written for the Dalesman, Wanderlust and the Huffington Post, and contributes a monthly piece to the Guardian's Mind Your Language blog. A huge language enthusiast, Rosie is also at the helm of a new enterprise for promoting language teaching and learning, a feat which complements her creative writing to the degree that she wants readers to think about how far language can really convey what we mean it to.

The Tammersford Lot is Rosie's first collection of short stories. She also writes poetry and dabbles in illustration, as well as penning comic pieces that satirise the human world under the guide of an ex-penguin.
