About Nikki Sloane

USA Today bestselling author Nikki Sloane landed in graphic design after her careers as a waitress, a screenwriter, and a ballroom dance instructor fell through. For eight years she worked for a design firm in that extremely tall, black, and tiered building in Chicago that went through an unfortunate name change during her time there. Now she lives in Kentucky and manages a team of graphic artists. She is a Romance Writers of America RITA© Finalist, is married with two sons, writes dirty books, and couldn't be any happier.

I was sucked in by the sample and had to buy the book. The writing is good and the sex scenes are steamy. Some very dark stuff, a few very non-con events, so if you're not into that, you won't enjoy this. The descriptions of submission were spot-on and hot.

I found the story line a little difficult not for the content but because I didn't really know what I was hoping would happen. I don't have a problem with things not being black and white, but I floundered a bit with not knowing who or what to root for.

Overall, it definitely kept my attention, though!

Fk yeah this is the stuff! A real shame it was banned from Amazon. Lucky I was able to get it from here. I couldn't put it down. Such a gripping read

4* for writing about one of my fantasies. Never thought I'd see it in print but here it is. I really enjoyed it although I thought Addison did protest way too much. Single negative. The rest great. Writing tight and characters real. Absolutely loved Luka; Addison not so much as she was too whingy. Will definitely read more by this author and recommend it to all lovers of the dark and taboo.Amazon has banned it and it's totally unnecessary imo. But that's Amazon hypocrisy for you. Bought this from Smashwords. $2.99. Supporting Indie Authors!!!!

I love this author's books and when I heard about this one and that Amazon had banned it, well, that made me all the more determined to read it. I LOVED it. Not sure what that makes me given it's a darker read but at the same time, it's not the darkest I've read, so not sure why Amazon rejected it. Despite the way he was, I kind of liked Luka. Under the darkness I could tell there was good. He didn't want to be the way he was, but I guess he hadn't exactly had the most ideal childhood either. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between the characters and maybe it means I have a dark and twisted soul if I say, to be loved by someone as intense as Luka, is a love that will last a lifetime. As with all the books I've read by this author, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

OMG! I was freaking literally sucked into this book before I finished the first chapter! I could not put the damn thing down. Still can't understand really why Amazon has banned it. There is one questionable scene but hell people if someone out there was offended or put off by it well then I suggest you stop reading all together, including newspapers. Worse shit than that actually takes place every day out there in this great big ugly world we live in. This is fiction people. Be thankful! But I know of almost the same thing basically happening to a very close friend. Those that are bothered by such things should not read such books. Easy enough to avoid "dark" romance books instead of reporting such content. I thought this was a very well written story. It flowed very nicely and never stalled out after the first 6-8 chapters. I thought the character development was there and I felt a true connection to the characters. I hope that we will have additional books in the future with these characters, secondary and maybe even an appearance of the main characters. I definitely will be reading more of Ms. Sloane's work, as this is my first read of hers!

Sordid is the first book that I have read by Nikki Sloane and from what I understand this is her first “Dark Book” I really enjoyed reading Sordid! This book was banned on Amazon so I went to Smashwords to get this book! I really don’t like being told I can’t read something. So when I hear of a book being banned then I just gotta have it! I am glad that I did. I am not really sure why Amazon decided to ban this book because I have read far darker reads that Amazon has sold. Maybe it was the deleted scene that Nikki Sloane speaks about at the end of this book. And, I guess we might never know what that scene was. Who knows.

I will let you read the Synopsis since I think authors usually does a better job and describing their books than I do. This is Luka Markovic and Addison’s story and there is an HEA.

This is a dark read and there is nonconsensual sex in it so if you don’t like that don’t read this book. Obviously Sordid was not an ARC for me since I had to go and chase it down. I give this book 4 Stars and I have already bought Three Simple Rules (The Blindfold Club Book 1) so I can read a different genre from Nikki Sloane. I can’t wait to get started on it!

Hot hot hot. This was sexy, dark and a bit twisted. This was a great start for a first dark novel. This was also my first novel by this author and I will definitely be reading more from her. I may also start stalking her.

For an author who doesn't normally write dark stories, this was one hell of a start! The story about Addison and Luka is one that starts with steaming attraction each of them harbor from a distance, until fate brings them together in a cataclysm one night. Their actions trigger repercussions that ripple out from that evening, changing their carefully planned futures and stripping each of them emotionally. They only have each other to blame and to love. I hesitate to give details, which would only spoil the plot, but know that their actions are dictated by outside powers, which is torment for those who love to control everything around them.
