This is a great story about a guy who joins the USMC on a whim and goes through a major life experience, growing up, gaining incredible discipline, making friends for life, dealing with the torture, the hell, the trials and hilarious experiences that is USMC boot camp. He surprises us and he surprises himself and his family by making it through. He's proud and tough and has a great sense of humor about it. The book contains pictures, letters home, observations and many stories, a quick read.
