Review by: TexMex on April 15, 2017 :
I really like sea stories. I especially like stories with crime and ghosts and sailors who are up to no good. Given that, I'm willing to overlook some holes in the plot and sketchy action found in this story. There were also some scenes that were excellent and shocking.

This writer has some skills but uses them inconsistently. Slow it down and keep with the shocking descriptions and this could be a great story.

I agree with the other reviews. This story and author have lots of potential but the story seems to be written in a hurry with some parts good and others uneven.

This story has a few flashes of greatness but overall it was cut short. The author seems to really get into writing some good material for a few sentences then he drops down and tells the story. Inconsistent.

Some things in this story were bad-ass brilliant. Some other things in this story were ok. A few things were a bit sketchy.

This very short tale has some great material. There is a main character that could carry an entire novel if he were fleshed out. There are several wonderful details and little scenes that pricked my curiosity. I do believe the story could have been much better if the author polished it a bit more. There are a few garbled sentences and some odd word choices, then it ends abruptly.

I'm a nut for sea stories and I have bookshelves lined with everything from WWII US Navy stories, Pirates & Buccaneers and high-tech thrillers. That is why I read every new sea story that is posted here on Smashwords. The author of this tale, Mr Drac Von Stoller, has several sea stories in his collection and I've read them all. He always includes lots of creepy details like disasters at sea and bloody violent crime. This is another good sea story and I recommend it to anyone who goes for this sort of thing.
