The Century Coven

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Once a century, the coven of the sleepy town of Berkshire play a Halloween game, a sadistic contest with its own rules and etiquette. With its insistence on masks, costumes, and other tricks, it is easy to lose sight of the essence of this night, distracted by its own theatrics. However, a new witch to the coven plays a game within a game, reminding her sisters of Halloween's true spirit.

About S.E. Casey

S.E. Casey grew up in New England near a lighthouse. He always dreamed of smashing the lighthouse and building something truly grotesque with the rubble. This is his writing method for his existential tales focused on a tragic collection of flawed oddities, forgotten places, and fallen characters. Published in many magazines and anthologies, links to his short stories and poetry can be found at www.secaseyauthor.wordpress.com.
He is the author of a collection of short fiction, 'Stygian Doorways', and is currently working on a new collection of winter themed short stories. He lives on the shores of New England where, from time to time, he passes by the old lighthouse which still stands...for now.

S.E. Casey has been on my radar for a while now and I picked this at random.
I really enjoyed it.
Can't stand spoilers so I won't go into great detail, but it draws you in gently and gets darker by the page. A witchy delight. Great stuff!
