About Lea Tassie

Lea Tassie grew up in the Peace River district of northern BC. Due to six months of winter and two months poor sledding, she started reading books as soon as she could hang on to one. She has traveled and worked in many places, which may explain why she can’t stick to one genre as an author. Her books include humor (about cats), romantic suspense, mainstream and lately, speculative fiction. When she discovered the temperate rainforest stretching along 1200 miles of the Pacific Coast, from Oregon to Alaska, she quit traveling and settled in for good.

Review by: Malcolm Torres on June 30, 2016 :
Two friends take a long hike through some of the most beautiful scenery in all the world (The Peace River in Alberta, Canada). On one level they are chatting idly about friends and family but on another level the narrator is ruminating about life and what the present and the future holds. Having just returned from a trip to St. John, Chetwynd and the Peace River area, I particularly enjoyed this story.
