Nelson, great story and I really enjoyed it. Why is it women have to have everything their way? Oddly, in a novel I’ve written and have yet to finish polishing, an old wood-burning kitchen stove figures prominently. I hope to find a publisher for it some day.

I also must confess, I’ve never played pinochle but I remember my parents playing many eons ago when I was a kid. I only selected that card game to fit into the story that led up to ‘Pinochle or Strip Poker?’ After online research. You might enjoy it too. ‘Pinochle Anyone?’ Thanks for the review, by the way.

Cute premise. Clever little story. Enjoyable!
I'm only marking it down a bit since it seemed to change from first person to third person right at the end.
