About Leigh Takata

Leigh Takata has been writing poetry since she was 12 and has been using poetry and writing as a reflection of life ever since. She graduated from Kennesaw State University’s MAPW (Master of Arts in Professional Writing) program in 2013. Her poetry has also been featured in Agnes Scott College’s Aurora magazine as well as the Cahaba River LIterary Journal. Other publications include a contributing chapter in Social Media in Context as well as articles for the Atlanta Jewish Times. She also wrote and read two new poems as characters in the play 'Come Alive Human Family' which was performed in Atlanta, GA and Selma, AL.
