The planet Okanas at edge of the O'kana galaxy differs from no other planet inhabited by beings of intelligence and mobility in that differences are dealt with using tools prepared for war. For the free Alleeian minority it is only a matter of time before their Imperial neighbours, the A'kardans, launch an attack of nuclear proportions and consolidate their power. For the Rowoones, the royal family of the Alleeians, their survival in a cave links the defeat of their in nation the past to - twenty years - later, their heir, Ramette, leading an opposition party in the council ruled over by Callon, leader of A'karda.
