About Hildi Kang

Hildi Kang is an educator, writer, presenter, and active traveler, having hiked the Swiss alps, ridden her bike across southern France,and hiked with llamas in the mountains of California. She has traveled with three others by train, van, and camel along much of the ancient silk road around the Taklamakan desert in the northwest of China and crossing into Uzbekistan to follow the road from the cities of Khiva to Samarkand. Closer to home, Hildi is a graduate of the University of California in Berkeley, is a member of the Association for Asian Studies, has presented as several of their conferences, and been guest lecturer in Asian studies at various universities. She is married into a large Korean family, makes trips frequently to Korea, and now lives with her husband in Livermore, CA. When not writing or traveling, she is cellist in the local orchestra.
