Conjuring a sense of the plausible, Ken Ramsley produces fiction and non-fiction with a mission to explore our place in the Universe. According to Ken, “whether exploring the Moons of Mars or human nature, thoughtful imagination is almost always the best way to recognize new territory.”
Informing his fiction-writing, Ken is a commercial product designer, business consultant, and academic scholar. At Brown University, Ken studies, lectures, and publishes on topics related to planetary science with a focus on the smaller moons and asteroids of the Solar System. In the School of Engineering, Ken also advises and lectures on product design, entrepreneurship, spacecraft systems, the space radiation environment, and orbital mechanics.
Prior to his association with Brown University, Ken was the Chief Engineer for spacecraft electronics and software development at AeroAstro, Inc., where he designed circuit boards and optical components for seven space satellites currently on orbit.
