About David Harp

Growing up in a small Florida town was pleasant, but triggered a desire for adventure. I enlisted in the Navy and traveled to many remarkable places.
After an honorable discharge, I attended the University of Florida and Florida State University while working summers at Disney World and completing a management internship with Hyatt Hotels. I rejoined the Navy as a commissioned officer and finished my academic studies at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
While stationed at the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia, I met and married Linda Davis. We traveled to exotic places including Hawaii, Guam, Australia, Indonesia, and China.
After a military career, my work included Real Estate Agent, District Director for a Florida Congressman, and adjunct professor at a small college.
At the time of this writing, I live in Sebring with Linda and two dogs, but who knows what the next adventure will bring.

Review by: Debbie Madison on Oct. 16, 2016 :
The book is an optimistic science fiction without the usual overload of sex and violence. It was more interesting to me because I’m from Florida. Most of the story takes place in Weeki Wachee, Venus/Sebring/Lake Placid, Archbold Biological Station, and the Bok Tower. The adventure feels almost like a true story since much of it is based on real places and events. There is a Christian theme, but without the preaching. The plot is a little complicated, but well worth the effort.
