"I wasn't in town that day, was out of the state for that entire week. Should be easy for you to check up." "Well Lex I would just like to ask you if you know of any boys around that have a base-ball pat. Mr. and Mrs. Wright that was killed with a base-ball bat, had a lot of money, but nothing was taken. Only this brutal murder of two elderly people that didn't do harm to anyone." "So, they had money? Well before I left this state, I heard John, and Billy was asking the other kids for cash." "Thank you Lex for the information. You are free to go wherever you want, and as I said before, thanks for the info'. The detective told six officers to check out Rex, John, and Billy.
