Inspiring autobiographical story of Susan Njemanze who was born and raised in a rural community in South Eastern Kenya, Africa and is the second oldest of 17 children. When Susan's father died suddenly in 1975, the family was plunged into poverty and chaos. After much suffering and uncertainty, Susan was fortunate to be able to immigrate to the United States a few years later to further her education. She eventually obtained both a masters and a doctorate degree and has had a long and fulfilling career with a government social services agency.
Susan currently resides in California, USA with her husband, Richard. They have four adult children and several grandchildren. Susan is the founder and president of Graceworks Hope Network for Children International, a non-profit charitable organization based in Orange County, California that provides assistance to orphans, vulnerable children and youth in Kenya, Africa and in California, USA.

Registered in the United States in 2007, Graceworks Hope Network for Children International’s mission is to provide broad-based support and educational opportunities to orphans, vulnerable children and youth. The goal is to help break the cycle of poverty and despair and to instill hope by creating caring communities that enable every child to reach his or her full potential.
In Africa, Graceworks helps HIV/AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children and youth in and around the rural community of Rwika in South Eastern Kenya.
In Orange County, California, Graceworks provides assistance to children and youth experiencing crises, especially those in foster care and residing with grandparents and other relatives.
